True story

Taking the time to live

Long gone are the days when fishing was only a man’s game. More and more anglers are women, and they get to enjoy one of the greatest benefits of fishing: the calming feeling of going back to basics.

Being outside, standing in nature, taking time for yourself. Time… It is so scarce these days. Especially for Isabelle, teacher and mother of three.

She felt the joy of fishing very quickly during an incredible weekend organized by the Fédération québécoise des chasseurs et pêcheurs (FédéCP). It was the perfect introduction activity led by fishing guide Emmanuel Berger that brought her on the most beautiful lakes of Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie to go after brook trouts and grey trouts.

Have a look at other fishing stories on the FédéCP blog (in French only).
